Wendy commenced her career as a banking litigator with Herbert Smith in London. In 1999, she moved to Hong Kong with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer specialising in corporate and capital markets transactions. Following a secondment to Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong, she joined Merrill Lynch as investment banking counsel for the Asia Pacific region. Wendy spent almost ten years with Merrill Lynch where she enjoyed a number of senior legal roles, based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney, managing legal teams across the Asia-Pacific region, before returning to Singapore, with Merrill Lynch, as First Vice President (Managing Director), General Counsel and Director of Research Compliance for the Pacific Rim. She then served as General Counsel and Trustee in a multi-billion dollar family office with significant interests in Singapore, Thailand and Dubai before leaving to set up her own advisory business. Wendy founded Astrum Partners Pte Ltd in 2014 to provide strategic consulting, due diligence and senior executive search services for clients operating in Asia and Australia.
