Wendy Stimpson
Managing Director
Wendy has spent over twenty-five years living and working in the Asia Pacific region. She commenced her career as a banking litigator with Herbert Smith in London. In 1999, she moved to Hong Kong with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer specialising in corporate and capital markets transactions. Wendy then spent almost ten years with Merrill Lynch where she enjoyed a number of senior legal roles based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney, managing legal teams across the Asia-Pacific region, and culminating in General Counsel and Director of Compliance responsibility for the Pacific Rim. She also served as General Counsel and Trustee in a multi-billion dollar family office with significant interests in Singapore, Thailand and Dubai.
Since founding Astrum Partners in 2014, Wendy has advised major international law firms, financial institutions and multi-national corporations on senior legal search, strategy and due diligence projects throughout the Asia Pacific region and internationally.
Tra My Vu
Tra My is a graduate of Hanoi University of Law and National University of Singapore. She has many years of work experience in trade promotion, public affairs and business advisory. Before joining Astrum Partners, she provided research support to a wide range of investment climate facilitation and business due diligence projects in international development organisations and multinational consulting firms. Tra My speaks English and Vietnamese.
Monica James
Monica has over twenty years’ experience providing office management and business support to senior executives in a range of industries, including executive assistance to senior partners in law firms and other professional services. She has worked in Singapore, New York, London and Australia. Monica provides administrative and research support on our projects.
NELIUS STRYDOM
Board Director
Nelius has over twenty-five years' experience in the financial services industry and has been working across Asia since 2005. He has an extensive financial background and has spent twenty years in various Finance and CFO roles working for leading global banks. For the past ten years he has worked with various businesses in the financial services sector building new digital business models focusing on financial marketplaces and InsurTech. Throughout his career Nelius has worked in regulated environments working closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulations.
